Region

Region in AWS is an area of the world where AWS services and resources are hosted. Each region has multiple, isolated locations known as Availability Zones. Regions provide users with low-latency access to their services and resources, as well as the ability to replicate data across multiple geographic regions for disaster recovery. By using regions, users can maximize their availability, fault tolerance, and durability of their applications while minimizing latency.
